The Jets pick up free agent Michael Vick and bring him in to support, mentor Geno Smith. Vick is by most accounts a superior QB to McCown and Geno Smith had an inferior rookie season to Glennon. The Jets have named Geno the starter even though they have every other piece in place to make a Super Bowl run and Mike is the better option day 1. They are going to let their young QB learn and build his confidence on the field in live action. We are almost as talented as the Jets on the defensive side of the ball, Tampa is as good if not better than the Jets on the offensive side of the ball. In practice, there has been very little difference between Glennon and McCown from a performance standpoint. Yet we are just going to start McCown without anyone really questioning it. So very Tampa.
