RUN FITS
Most often you're going to see him as the off-ball ILB on the Strong or Closed side of the formation, typically over Vea. Vea will be playing a lot of 1, 2i, 2, or 3 on the Strong/Closed side of the formation. He'll either be taking the gap he's over or slanting (eg from A to B or from 2 tech to A or B).
White will be playing downhill overwhelmingly in this defense so he'll be Scraping off of Vea and filling the adjacent gap that Vea vacates.
If the play goes C or D on the Closed/Strong side of the formation, then White will be Scraping off of that Edge player (typically Barrett), Filling or Spilling depending on if edge is set and if they're in Cover 2 Zone or not.
C0VERAGE
Bowles runs a lot of Green Dog Blitzes with his off-ball LBs. So both White and LVD will be manning up on Tight Ends and Running Backs and, assuming Man coverage, they'll be pursuing the line of scrimmage downhill and, if the TE/RB covered stays in to pass protect, they'll be blitzing. You'll see this in the 2 Man Under calls and the Cover 1 Man calls.
In Cover 2 Zone, he'll either be the Mid-Zone/Hole defender (where he'll be defending deep Digs, transitioning the window-contraction responsibilities of Posts from adjacent Hook/Seam defenders, and driving on Under routes), or running running the vertical seam in Tampa 2 and getting under any vert route that threatens between the hashes.
Bowles features a variety of Overload Zone Blitz Trap Coverages, specifically a Cover 2 variety where he overloads the open side (often Twins) and blitzes the OLB and NCB there. The Deep Half Safety that side is rolling hard to that side at the snap as are the ILBs. Meanwhile, the rolled up CB will be looking to jump a hot Hitch by the boundary WR or Quickout by the Slot and just auto-releasing the a boundary vert to the Safety over top. Meanwhile, LVD will be rolling hard there to jump an in-cut by the boundary and White will be rolling hard to jump any in-cut by the Slot and walling off any Slot vert.
BLITZ
Again, Bowles likes to Overload Pressure/Blitz and then drop elsewhere. So expect to see Double A Gap pressures with White and LVD and sometimes with the SS coming on q Delayed Blitz as well. Sometimes this will feature a Slant up front and/or a Loop with one or both ILBs.
What this means is that our OLB will be dropping into coverage a bit more than your standard Edge players in a 24 Nickel/34 Base (neither Barrett nor Nassib are experienced/proficient coverage players, so we'll see how that goes).

Sum total...
He will not be in a read/react position. He will be playing downhill regularly. In coverage he'll be manning up on backfield RBs or in-line TEs most of the time and coming most of the time when he is Manned up on them (Green Dog Blitz rules). He'll be playing a lot of Slant and Scrape with Vea (mostly). He'll be used to make plays on the ball in certain situations (certain Slot Hot Routes) or carry slot verts in Trap Coverages. When they go C2Z, he'll be doing a lot of what he was doing in his Match Quarters defense role at LSU.
This is a play-making position akin to LVD's roles in Schiano's defenses of yore...so as a prospect drafted this high, he should be expected to fill up the stat sheet year 1 with TFLs, Pressures, Sacks, Ints, Tackles.
As a frame of reference, in his rookie year, LVD had:
20 Pressures including 2 Sacks.
22 plays behind the line of scrimmage (20 TFLs and 2 Sacks).
70 Stops (These plays constitute a Loss for the Offense caused by the player).
139 Tackles
Only 13 Missed Tackles.
1 Int
4 PD
Lavonte gave up 71 % Catch Rate in that "on an island, boom or bust defense" (he struggled in coverage that year but dominated in year 2 and thereafter).
LVD was, of course, the 58th pick of the draft, not the 5th. Lavonte was hugely productive in year 1, but the leap in year 2 and 3 was enormous. So I would expect White to have an enormously productive and efficient season that is certainly beyond Lavonte's Rookie season. I would then expect White to ascend dramatically in year 2.
