Chris Carter made some insane plays laying out at the sidelines.
I forget who criticized him by saying all he does is catch TDs? Maybe Ryan.
he had great hands for sure
Pretty sure it was Madden? And I don't remember it so much as a criticism. More of an admiring observation.

Thats probably right. Little trip down (foggy) memory lane
@firebowles2023 wish we had never got rid of him. He was a tank at RB.
@mic Just watched that and what a move or couple of moves. Tom Coughlin was pissed....lol
@biggs3535 He was pure poetry in motion. I loved watching him run, except against us. John Lynch always gave Barry Sanders High Props as he should.
@feelindangerous06 He left a lot of empty defenders shoes on the field. It's my hope and prayer for Bucky (whom I am a huge fan of) to be just as sick as Barry.

While i don't believe that anyone will ever be as sick as Barry, I do believe that Bucky could be a significant % of Barry, at least in close quarters. Bucky doesn't have Barry's burst or top end, imo, but he's got some of Barry's agility and vision.
Yeah, that was a nice one.
What puts this one over the top for me isn't just the juke itself by Barry Sanders, it was who was juked. Sanders made a Hall of Fame Safety look like a high school schmuck.
Yeah, but tbf to Lynch (who i always liked, regardless of what jersey he wore; he was special) Barry made a ton of HoFers look just as ridiculous over his career, and he did to them multiple times. That clip I posted of Barry deking john Randle wasn't Randle's first time making Barry's highlight reels.
Not too long ago I watched a podcast with a former 49ers great (sorry can't remember the name right now) who was interviewing Ronnie Lott and another teammate, and when he asked them who they were the most 'scared' of, they both said simultaneously "Barry!" no hesitation. The one guy proceeded to tell a Barry story and said at one point "Ronnie, you had what, two or three chances to tackle B?" To which Lott snorted and said "FOUR. I had him in my sights FOUR DAM TIMES ON THE SAME DAM PLAY. i think I got a hand on him once."
Happy to have watched Sanders in his prime (basically, his career lol). Amazing runner
