The Buccaneers signed 20 rookies in that initial rush a year ago, and six of them made the opening-day roster: safety Christian Izien, wide receiver Rakim Jarrett, safety Kaevon Merriweather, cornerback Derrek Pitts, running back Sean Tucker and RB Markees Watts. (Sixth-round draft pick Jose Ramirez ended up on the practice squad.)
From the article for the 2024 UDFA class which only rostered Funderburk

Yeah, there was a lot of turnover that season. And guys like Jarrett, Merriweather, Pitts, and Watts making the roster that year kinda validate my point. If a 7th rounder and two UDFA make the 2025 final 53, this roster isn't as strong as we fans are hoping.
uh oh . a 7th rounder and three UFAs
"It says a lot about the Bucs that they saw enough potential and NFL readiness to keep three undrafted free agents on the 53-man roster entering this season. For a team in win-now mode, they are putting trust in each of running back Josh Williams, offensive tackle Ben Chukwuma, and inside linebacker John Bullock to be key contributors and fill in when needed."
