The Buccaneers' 35-22 downing of the Falcons in Week 12 improved their record to 4-7 and evened their 2019 road ledger at 3-3. Next up is an even shorter trip to Jacksonville, where Tampa Bay will face a 4-7 Jaguars team coming off a 42-20 road loss at Tennessee. It will be the Buccaneers' first regular-season game in Jacksonville in 2011 and another opportunity for their first regular-season win in Jacksonville.
A victory over the Jaguars would give Tampa Bay its first pair of consecutive wins in Bruce Arians' first season at the helm. Though the Bucs' playoff chances are extremely thin in a top-heavy NFC, they continue to pursue a strong finish to the season whether or not it ends in the postseason. Building on a strong all-around performance in Atlanta would be a good start.
The Jaguars have lost three in a row. Quarterback Nick Foles returned to the lineup two weeks ago, replacing fan-favorite replacement Gardner Minshew, but Jacksonville's current problems appear to be on defense. The Jaguars have allowed 101 points in their losing streak, all to fellow AFC South teams.
