Personally, I'm very undecided on this one. It's been too many years of being let down, to get too excited for the Bucs before they show us they can turn things around. While I want to drink the kool-aid and think things are suddenly different and better, I just don't have the energy anymore. I want BA to be the guru some claim him to be. I want Jameis to take that next big step up (finally). I want the Todd Bowles attacking defense to bring some fire back to Sundays for Bucs fans. I want to see BA's delegation and Head Coach Plan (as opposed to a glorified coordinator or dictator) be one to bring respect back to Tampa Bay.
But until I see us beat some good teams and get our W-L record on the right side of .500 and back in the playoffs, I can't get myself too excited. I'm a Bucs fan for life, but we haven't had much to pound our chests about in a long time. Hopefully this time next year will be different, and I think it definitely could be, but I just don't see how some are so gung-ho about it already.
On the flip side, I do think BA brings a shit-ton more credibility and I do love how he has put his coaching roster together. I AM excited, but it is definitely a tempered excitement. How about you?
