Assuming there’s no trade and they stay at #19
I am absolutely convinced they’ll be taking either:
- Maxwell Hairston
- Nick Emmanwari
- Or a sleeper IDL
Dont think Starks or Barron slides to us, and I think Bowles and Licht are convinced Reddick fixes the pass rush (hence, EZ/Pearce essentially off their boards barring a major slide) Still think they take a developmental EDGE in R3 or R4.
After that, I expect Knight in the second round.
Nicely done! I’d be happy with either.
While I do think Malaki Starks could be there, I’d be ecstatic if Emanwori were the pick.
I too think there will be an early run on EDGE, and so also have my sights on a good/developmental edge in rounds 3 or 4 (as you likely know, have my eye on Josaiah Stewart), but I’m not married to anyone at this point & there are a couple I’d be happy to see picked there.
…but I still think if Golden makes it past Dallas, or Burden falls, it could reset all our boards!
Great thread!
I totally understand those picks if Green and EZ are taken before us. If we are lucky enough to have one of them on the board, we will not pass on them for Hairston or a safety.
Hairston’s stock has gone up because of his 40 yard dash. He is not a top 5 corner in this draft when watching his game film.
Well I picked Starks in my mock draft because for one thing he'd be able to start right away. This would also be true for Emmanwori of course, so that's a good choice. Both of these players may not be linebackers, but they address some of the same deficiencies that a middle linebacker would as far as being a versatile cog in the middle of the defense.
A surprise pick would be Colston Loveland. The Bucs may still have Gronk envy. It sure was nice to have a dominant TE. Loveland isn't Gronk at blocking, but he'd be a receiving weapon who wouldn't take playing time away from Evans or Godwin.

Don't care about Green for obvious reasons, but, I still have a scary feeling now that they’ll pass on EZ.
Hope I’m wrong.
@donkey_hunter - I’ve been starting to worry about that too. I think that would be such a mistake and more of a today draft rather than a tomorrow pick.

Agreed 1000%.
I'm predicting they'll trade down in round 1 a few spots and trade back up to early round 2 to snag EZ. Perhaps that's crazy, but if the Bucs pass on him, don't totally abandon hope.I totally understand those picks if Green and EZ are taken before us. I am going with Ezeirauku.
Licht isn't going to let Braswell selection deter him from adding more edge talent to go with Reddick this off season. If Braswell becomes a baller so be it which means the Bucs have Diaby, Braswell and Ezeirauku under contract for 2026.
Still, does this scenario consider if Jihaad Campbell may still be on the board?
Ezeirauku. If not, I will have a very tall glass of beer to cry in to...Reddick is only on a one year deal. If he plays up to his past performances up until last year, there's no guarantee the Bucs will be able to re-sign him. Then the Bucs are right back where we are this year...
