Bowles said as much and I think that is the point. No single defensive player is going to carry the defense. But I do wonder how day 2 and day 3 unfold and what their plans are for edge, LB and DB.

Say what you will about the PFF guys, but I think this video by Cris Collinsworth, Trevor Sikkema, Dalton Wasserman and Max Chadwick perfectly sums up what most Buc fans are feeling after the 1st round - especially after all of the time pouring over endless mocks, and draft simulations, trying to decipher the draft strategy/picks.
Emeka Egbuka was a shock, even to me and I love the program & the kid, but if you watch some tape - this was a legit sneaky-good pick.
Still, very surprising.
