I see a majority would like to see koetter take the job, and i know there is an existing thread on the topic. However, be that as it may, some believe koetter isnt going to be a direct replacement for lovie. Signs indicate that he is their guy, but just for for our own sake, I'd like to take a look at other options around the league. Something a bit more comprehensive as well.If you go to, https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=http://mmqb.si.com/2015/06/10/nfl-future-head-coaching-candidates-adam-gase-josh-mcdaniels-teryl-austin&ved=0ahUKEwiuwJvipJ3KAhXEkh4KHY8xAXcQFggcMAA&usg=AFQjCNHccXYj5z6sjULAZjIOy-hCkPA6hg&sig2=B_DZRcnFHSLn_ggh-nFgFQ it gives you a listing of some canidates. Some of the canidates are names like mcdaniels, sumlin, and shaw. All of which have a household reputation at this point, and others, like Reich, or gase are interesting but somewhat under the everymans radar.A case for each can be made.Mcdaniels- one of my favorites, and possibly one that licht would be interested in as well. The guy has a fire, and can motivate. He enjoys a overall HC record of 11-17 with the denver broncos, but some believe he would not make the same mistakes elsewhere if given a second chance. Imvho, already having a good qb would be a plus IF you are considering McDaniels.Adam Gase- This younger gentleman has worked with some of the best minds in football. Nolan, fox, marinelli, mariucci, and the above, mcdaniels. His offense works well with a competent qb runs it.~Nevermind. He just was signed by the fins as we speak~Teryl austin- DC for detroit. One of the guys responsible for suh's dismissal. He coached the ravens, cardinals, and seahawks previously, with a one year stint with florida in 2010. Jim mora- Has an overall nfl record of 125-106. Very old at this point (80). Yeah, I put him in here. Why? Idk..Kevin sumlin- A total win record of 77-33 at texas a & m. The guy just wins. As always, he is a college coach so he will have a bit of a transition period into the nfl. The guy somehow managed to keep manziel under wraps, and made the guy look great. Also recognised evans talents as well. Respect due.Pep Hamilton- a "student" of shaw, and known only for his work with the colts in the nfl, although he did have a (qb/wr coach) stint with the jets, bears, and niners between 02-09. This oc could be a gem for the right team. However, i don't think he is ready for HC duties.David shaw- at an overall record of 54-14, this hc of stanford has won three of five bowls. He has also been around the league, having stints with the raiders, ravens, eagles, and chargers. I doubt he goes to the bucs of all places, but if there where a college hc that i would sign to coach the bucs, it would be him.Frank Reich- an offensive "guru" has enjoyed his career with three different teams. He played alongside jim kelly as backup, and later studied coaching under ken wisenhunt regime. He was just recently released from the chargers. These are the guys that are considered "on the cusp." Who on this list, besides koetter, and including the others from the link, would you rather have as coach?
