I judge Bowers off his actions. He showed up to camp over weight and has looked sluggish and uninterested all year including preseason. I followed him on twitter for awhile and he seems more interested in playing in his gospel band than he is in playing football. He is a public figure and plays a sport for a living so I will judge him. That is what fans do.As far as calling Clayborn garbage.....what an idiotic statement. Schiano had the poor guy running around like a LB half the time but he still managed 6 sacks and his 19 TFL was 4th best in the entire NFL. 4th. That is pretty **CENSORED**ing awesome in my book. With a better defensive scheme and Jared Allen or Justin Tuck at the opposite end next year, I expect a breakout year for Adrian.

You literally sound exactly like a bunch of fans who thought McCoy didn't care because he took fans to see movies and talked about superheroes on twitter. I don't get it because you were the same one agreeing with me and others that it's unfair to judge Manziel because we don't know him.

Bowers has been a monumental waste of potential and hope.  Im sorry, but when guys are professional athletes and show up out of shape to training camp, then yea I am pretty cynical about their dedication to their job.

Hard to argue with this...his apparent lack of dedication is what has rubbed many fans the wrong way but luckily for him there has been some question about coaching and he'll likely get another chance to prove he isn't really interested in playing pro ball.

Yep.  And I am willing to give him that chance in camp, but its hard for me to buy into the "lack of coaching" problem as an excuse.  Did we have poor coaches, obviously.  But so did our entire defensive line and he still couldnt beat out DTN or a 4th round rookie.

Bad coaching didn't stop other guys on defense from having great/good years. I don't buy it. The guy just doesn't have the want to. That, and I don't think he is the same player he was in college after the injuries.

Don't forget either that he went on IR again this year. He missed the last game because he went on IR for a knee injury.

Bowers is a bum until proven otherwise. Let him go find himself someplace else. He's a non stop excuse machine. His first injury free summer and he comes in out of shape when the team is banking on him to have a good season. He complained about not being coached that didn't stop DTN from beating him out and Gholston didn't seem to have that problem either.
