Flores and Bowles might as well be clones.

I want an offensive head coach.

I want a dedicated defensive coordinator.

I want a dedicated offensive coordinator.

Complete overhaul including ST

lol imagine wanting to fire Bowles but then hire Flores.

Flores as defensive coordinator, all for it

I think you've hit on the head here, offensive minded head coach but solid coordinators all around

If by some chance the Bucs keep Bowles, they need to pull an Eagles and hire top notch coordinators this off-season.  No more of this Bowles calling the plays

Most offensive minded coaches call the plays. If you hire one of those, they will most likely want to call plays.

understood.  Eagles were an anomaly

but if Bowles is retained, we need an actual defensive coordinator.  Let him just be a figure head if that is what ownership wants

Coen hired Udinski but yeah I think he's still calling the plays so not sure how that dynamic works.

Either way I don't wanna a defensive coach trying to call plays.

except maybe Tomlin

FWIW. . . . .Tomlin is in the same basic posture as Bowles, fans saying his brand of winning is not enough and his defense is suspect. I think the defense is only a point or two per game better than the Bucs defense. I think their problems are even similar, passing game, tight ends etc. Maybe even worse from a yards perspective.

Even their division is weak, or has been with the Ravens struggles, so they are sort of like the 2020 all in Bucs (Rodgers in at QB) but without the same success, so far.

It has been my experience, with few exceptions, that the fans are typically underwhelmed by the new HC.

Fans are not neutral. Many of them are judging the ultimate selection against their own hypothetical choice.

Even if fans were objective, its just an easier route to be negative.  The failure rate - coaches, players, owners - is MUCH higher than rate of sustained success or top level success. Some where between 15-30% of NFL head coaches are fired every year. A slightly small percentage of teams are viewed as hopelessly inept, even in a system that rotates draft choices. And then for those HCs who survive firing . . . fan and owner impatience tightens the standard until its a bit of a beauty contest. How did we win? What is our competition like? Not a unique Buccaneer phenomena, by any means.

Basic human nature "change for the sake of change" sometimes. Sometimes because its needed. Worked Dungy to Gruden, until it didn't. Did NOT work Gruden to Morris . . Schiano . . etc

We were not underwhelmed when Gruden and Arians were hired.
