Aside from all the stats about Lamar everyone are aware of… he is one of the top QBs in the NFL and he’s available.

We do not have a viable option at QB. Could secure the position for the next 5 years with a legit QB that will put fans in seats and make games exciting to watch.

I tend to think its because teams may be getting away from the idea that run first QB's are long term solutions.... his speed and elusiveness mask his biggest problem: his inability to throw the ball. The last 2 seasons combined, Baltimore played in 13 games during the months of December and January and LJ has played in 3 of them with a record of 1-2, I might add. So what exactly are you getting for the money.

The answer is Lamar isn't interested in them. If he gets his $40-50 million per year who is going to block for him? The Bucs only have Jensen and Wirfs and 3 positions to fill with no money to do it.

The Bucs dead cap in 2025 is over 68 million. Add in the contract for Lamar at 40+ million, and between the dead cap and the 40+ million, the Bucs will have spent over 1/3 of the salary cap money.

Jeezus, how is it that people don't understand this?... There ain't no money for paying a guy 40 million per year. They're eating Brady's 35 million this year.

Aside from that, that punk wants a fully guaranteed contract. Eff that!.. And then, he's not a good passer or a good leader. Opted not to play in the playoffs. Selfish loser.

Not to mention he's a fucking dumbass.

Aside from that, sure, great idea.

Does an interpreter come with LJ, or is there an extra charge?

He doesn’t appear to be a team player

As others have said

1-2 in post November games last 2 seasons missing 10 other games

run first QB whose shelf live are shorter

wanted fully guaranteed contract

What’s his playoff record?

guy wants $50 million per year

even in our best, we are terrible at running the football

in with you, an exciting move but doesn’t guarantee we are successful and high risk, medium reward move

would we better with Lamar over mayfield? Most likely.
would we better than the 49ers, Eagles, Cowboys? Not likely

Is it possible for you to not be a complete and total POS?

Baltimore traded up for him, built the offense around him, and offered to make him the 2nd highest paid player in the league and it's still not good enough.

The problem is that LJ doesn't have an agent and is representing himself. Agents are intimately familiar with the market for QBs as well as all other positions. LJ has a skewed view of his own value. The deal the Browns QB got was a total outlier and has no connection to reality whatsoever. The Browns were totally stupid to give that dumbass a fully guaranteed deal. The Ravens would be even dumber to give LJ a similar deal. The Ravens have built their entire offense around LJ. That is why LJ believes he has leverage over the Ravens. The reality is that there are few, if not no NFL teams that will meet LJ's terms. LJ needs to wake up. LJ needs to play on the tag this season. But he may not be able to humble himself and stay with the Ravens. Seems like there's some bad blood there.

Without an agent he isn’t getting great Advice. Nobody to check his lunacy

how he handled last years injury was very Antonio brown like. If you recall, AB missed several games and milked an injury. I’m no medical expert but could be a reason teams are boycotting that behavior. Do not want to set a precedent

not sure if the ravens situation is salvageable but he likely may have to settle for $50 million a year not full my guaranteed. Poor guy.

maybe he can go for Colin Kaep route, flame out of the NFL before he gets washed and sign himself a nice nike deal by playing the victim

It is not only Tampa.  The rest of the league does not seem interested in Lamar’s contract demands or the trade capital needed to acquire him.  A player is only worth what a team is willing to pay or trade for a player.  Right now Lamar is clearly not worth what he desires or is necessary via trade to acquire him.
