There isn't a path forward for Lamar in Tampa...
But I believe the league is experiencing group think with his value.
He has at least 3 year left of being effective with his legs.
He had zero targets in Baltimore last year... quite literally he was their entire offense.
Lamar should have a contract that exceeds Daniel Jones by a wide margin...
I understand the concerns with him but the reality is he's a fame changer...
The problem is that teams have built rosters that don't conform to the offense being built around him... I think that's the biggest hesitation, not the money.
too expensive and injury prone. if you're QB away from SB and if you can afford it then yes, otherwise no.
we are in this "no" group
I don't view him as injury prone. The games played says different.
He shut himself down last year and could have played imo... but him bailing on his team certainly isn't helping his cause

well exactly. If he’s immature like that with his current team, what makes anyone think he wouldn’t be like that with a new team.
can’t count on him. Maybe some desperate franchise will come out of the woodworks but the owners are likely working together on this one as things could get out of control and let’s face it, the guy is no mahomes
Yes and to be clear, we can't get him and I'm not interested in what it would take to get and keep him.
BUT
He isn't injury prone... if he is, so is everyone running qb.
Hurts missed a handful of games
Allen got hurt and his play diminished
Murray tore his knee
Tannehill got hurt
That's all I can recall from memory
Would you trade Evans Devin white a first and a third in 2024 for Jackson?
I would.

You would still have to find some way to pay LJ. The salary cap for 2023 is $225 million. LJ wants $50million. $35 million of the cap goes towards Tom Brady. That leaves $140 million to pay all the other players. The team needs $10 million for the draft class.

The dude has maybe 2-3 years left at his pro bowl caliber level. Maybe a 4th but I see him turning into cam newton once he hits 30. How many times do we have to experience this with a run first QB?
if he was going to be at this level for 10 more years, then yeah it be tough to say good bye to Mike but history data points show that Lamar shelf life isn’t long, hence Baltimore pulling a Kirk cousins franchise tag move on him.
mike evans needs to retire a buc. I’d give him up in a trade for mahomes, burrow, Allen, Lawrence, Herbert. Other than that, keep him around and try to land our own franchise guy
LJ needs to come back down to Earth. He has the unfortunate position of following the most idiotic contract ever handed to an NFL QB. It's definitely an outlier contract, not one that will become the norm. He's being way too stubborn. He can get his money, just not 100% guaranteed. He's way too injury prone for any team to fully guarantee a contract for him.
heck no. I wouldn’t even pursue him on the free agent market. I would trade white or let him walk after this season and collect a comp pick.Would you trade Evans Devin white a first and a third in 2024 for Jackson?
I would.

That's a big no from me. How many years do you think LJ has left playing the type of football he plays? I don't think he has more than 3 years left, and your trade would set the team back for 2 or 3 years...
I should clarify my post. LJ could have more than 3 years left in the league. I just don't think he has more than 3 years left playing the type of ball that would be even close to the value of the trade.

You are high as hell. No fucking way
Per a source with knowledge of the situation, Belichick has shopped Jones to multiple teams during the 2023 offseason.
The full list of potential destinations isn’t known. The teams mentioned as potential destinations were the Raiders, Texans, Buccaneers, and Commanders.
rather roll with Baker for a year then Mac Jones. The guy is mediocre at best.
we need to either draft a guy or trade for Trevor Lawrence. Dont Jacksonville trade their first round picks after a few years anyway. its about to be that time.
