Olujari to the 49ers. Licht is putting way too much stock in Yaya "almost had 15 sacks" Diaby

That is a great pick up by the 49ers.  Lynch is doing a master class of retooling that roster.

Offensive line depth.  I'm supposed to be excited about Luke "Lookinabit" Haggard and Charlie "Who the" Heck?  We need some better depth at offensive line. Losing Hainsey and Skule has left a big void that still needs to be addressed.  We got our starters back, but those depth players always turn out to be needed during the year.  And a middle round rookie probably learning a new position isn't going to help that much in 2025.  I see guys on the unsigned list and I have no idea which ones have back injuries or whatever, for example Dalton Risner came off a back injury last year.  I have no idea which of these guys have something left in the tank, but the Bucs need to figure it out and bring in one or two more veterans particularly at IOL.

Obviously, getting better backups is a plus. But OL depth around the league is sketchy. Very few, and I mean very few, teams have what most would call good OL depth.

As an exercise, look around the league and tell me which teams have good OL depth. It will probably surprise you.

I'll take your word for it since I wouldn't be able to tell you which backups are any good around the league, but I do know that losing Hainsey and Skule is not good.  Those were both better than average depth players.

I think Heck ends up an upgrade over Skule.  Hainsey on the other hand his replacement is most likely coming from the 2025 draft but the Bucs do have Klein in the wings going into year 2.

Now seeing Olujari signed with the Eagles for 1 year, $4M.

What the actually fuck is Licht doing. We could have had Reddick, Claisson and Olujari!

Then we wouldn’t be forced to draft an edge early unless they wanted to. Diaby could have moved inside on pass downs.

Probably the same reason(s) why the other 31 teams haven’t either.

The Bucs aren't done IMO.  They still need to add a couple bargain basement FA depth pieces on the defensive side.

Most likely not. I’m sure there will be some depth signings. Happens every year.

That being said, some people simply fall in love with washed up players, simply because they’re a name they recognize. Makes them look stupid.

Perfect example was Julio Jones.

I hear Gronk is coming out of retirement 😉

I think Licht is going edge in round 1 or 2 based on what he has done so far in free agency.

So, Licht and Bowles apparently like Hall as he is back on a one year deal now.

I suspect that another veteran safety is left on the shopping list if I had to guess.  But there is good value with some other ILB on the market because some teams are scrambling for Mosley but that leaves other ILB on the market willing to find playing time.  Might be a good chance for the Bucs to land a hungry veteran ILB on a one year deal.
