Two things first1) Yes obviously trading down is the best option. It's always the best option. 2) This is simply a weak draft outside of DT. I would not prefer these guys at 9 in most drafts. No one outside of MAYBE Ramsey is worth trading up for imo.Our team is slow. I know that sounds dumb, but the more I think of it, we simply lack explosion on both sides of the ball. We always talk about how our offense needs more speed and explosive plays, but our defense sorely lacks them as well. We lack guys with top notch psychical ability on defense. Outside of McCoy, we lack guys who even have the ability to take over games. Our defense always just seems one step behind. Speed matters in the NFL. It's not everything, but it matters on defense. I feel like explosiveness on defense creates turnovers. Look at some of the top defenses around the league, they are built around explosive/freak type athletes (who are also good football players, hopefully Floyd and Nkemdiche can become those. I'm not denying they are both very raw prospects). Carolina, Denver, and Seattle are always simply faster and stronger on defense. I think these guys might actually bring some sort of explosion to our defense. Either way I trust our GM after the past two drafts. Go Bucs!
