we have no chance at a Superbowl lol.

We actually do.

1. We won in Detroit without 3 of our best players (Winfield, Kancey, Goedeke) and their best player is gone.

2. We dunked on Philly. They were injured but so were we.

3. We should have beaten KC with our practice squad if Bowles had a pair of balls.

1.  DET:  We no longer have Chris Godwin. We have won 2 out of our last 7 games with the only wins coming against the Carr-less Saints and Jones-less Giants.  Let's see how we do against the Panthers this week.

2. PHI - they didnt have their starting 2 WRs.  Dont get me wrong, we have the Eagles number but wonder how we perform against them with AJ Brown in the line-up; albeit the last 2 match-ups he was not there.

3. KC - The Panthers almost beat them.  Chiefs going to get those calls and that wont change in the playoffs

Sure, if the Bucs get to the playoffs, anything can happen but from a strictly talent perspective, nobody has us in the bubble at the moment.  Those 5 teams are - PHI, DET, BAL, BUF, and KC.

It is not always the most talented teams that make the playoffs.  The Rams and Bucs did damage despite not being very talent laden last year, and the same holds true this year for both squads as both teams are still in the hunt.  The Seahawks have a more talented squad than the Rams or Bucs even if you look at the rosters this season.  And yet the Seahawks are hovering around like a .500 ball club just like the Rams and Bucs.

The NFC is different in that the Lions, Vikings and Packers may seam the cream of the crop but we will see how they hold up for December football. If all three are vying for the #1 seed that means they are going to beat each other up in the process.

So yeah if Philly plays their cards right they might be able to steal the #1 seed in the NFC again.

for sure

Very tight margins in the NFL so sometimes its just the team playing its best ball at the right time

Imagine if the NFL worked liked college football and there was just a bias for talented underperforming teams to get in because they recruited well.

Georgia can lose the SEC championship and still have a guaranteed playoff birth with 3 losses.

Georgia Tech outplayed them and blew it...

And yes... As a Ducks fan I in no way want to play Georgia.

Tangent rant/

Fire, did you expect Nix to do well in the NFL?

Not really tbh. I knew his experience would help ease the transition but I was worried he'd be 1 or 2 read them panic run too often. Peyton is def a QB whisperer for all his faults so it goes to show how important coaching is for development.

Baker has it now. Darnold has it now. Geno has it now.

There's probably 25 QB that could have been really good had they not gone to a hell hole of a franchise.

But yeah Nix looks pretty damn good. Best move he ever made was going from Auburn to Oregon and staying that extra year. Smart kid.

It takes a lot to be a successful NFL QB but just listening to him at the podium he’s got the leadership part down. Talks like a coach’s son

You only make a superbowl if you have pass rushers, so its a big "if" i implied in my originial thought for yaya and kancey to become a prowbowler the the next few weeks.

The fact you can have a couple of edge guys that can wreck a crucial third down rushing 4 greatly affects the course of a game. We havent had that consistency in a while. JPP did a good job of saving his rushes and communicating with the other rushers what he wanted on pass rush down its why though he wasnt high in pressures he could put up double digit sacks

CAR, LVR, LAC, DAL, CAR, NOR.

This is where we find out if TB is really a contending team in the NFC.  To be one of those two teams, they have to "win the games they're supposed to win," as Madden used to say.  So TB has to take at least 5 Ws to finish the season.  And maybe also beat LAC, their last remaining probable playoff team.  Biggest question mark down the stretch will be "can Bowles' defense play to at least the NFL average down the stretch?"  Against all but LAC, I think they can.  Statistically, I think they can do better than that against 5 of the 6 final opponents.

I finally get a chance to watch this game tomorrow instead of having to watch it on replay, so I'm excited to see TB take their first step towards the NFCCG.  Even going to order a pizza and wings and say to heck with eating clean, lol.

With this offense NFL average defense means the Bucs can do damage but they have to win and finish the season strong.

Today will need an old school Bucs defense they stops the run and an offense that hopefully scores early.
