Thank the Lord we get some help at RB. Will he jump start the running game? I don't know. He's supposed to be the 3rd down back, and in order for that to matter as far as running goes you have to get 3rd and 3rd and 2 or 3 and that way the defense doesn't know if it's going to be a run or pass. Edmonds can catch passes as well, but the runs are where we need the help, and you can't just send Edmonds up the middle all the time. That's not his forte. So we'll see. He'll definitely help, but Canales will have to scheme some stuff for him that presumably he couldn't do with Vaughn or Tucker. Edmonds isn't Alvin Kamara, but still we have another tool in the toolbox for Canales and it's on him to make it work.
And will this be the end of the Vaughn Era? I thought it would be back when he went AWOL. Since then he hasn't changed anybody's mind. I think you have to cut somebody to activate Edmonds. I don't think anybody else is set to go on IR. Either it's going to be Tucker who probably won't get poached and can go on the practice squad, or you cut Vaughn. If I'm Vaughn and I get cut and have to go to a practice squad, I'm not choosing the Bucs. I'm choosing pretty much anybody else's squad. I'm going to want to find out what it's like to have a hole to run through.

"Cat" Vaughn, that's my new nickname for him, because he seems to have nine lives. Edmonds was activated, but Derek Pitts was the one who got the boot. Maybe they need to see if Edmonds is all the way back, but IMO they won't be keeping 4 RBs around for long. Most teams have three normal RBs. Maybe about one out of three or four teams carries 4 normal RBs on the roster (non IR, KR, FB). The 49ers for example. But why keep 4 RBs when you don't use them for anything? They aren't special teams gunners or anything.
