Would you rather have lost in Detroit and be picking #3, or keep that win!

I just don't see any player in this draft worth losing for that is sure to be there at #3 but will definitely be gone at #7... and...Why would you want to lose to Detroit?

Did it really feel that much like a win? Unfortunately the Calvin Johnson give away wasn't a 63 yard field goal in front of 20,000 Eagles fans in Tampa. We sucked worse than a lot of these teams picking before us.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ItwARiIKktQ

I don't know man. Felt kind of like a hand out to me. And I agree on players being there at #7, but if we were picking #3 it's perfect to trade down with someone who wants a QB. Especially if Clowney goes #1.

I think you're making the wrong argument. Detroit was a win. Buffalo? Not so much.

I'd take the draft spot any day if we are picking in the top 10.

Speaking of handouts, how about the Jets game? And a few other Buc "donations" to our opponents' W columns this season.  ;)

Considering at least 4 games earlier in the year could have also been wins.If David didn't make that bonehead penalty in week 1, we win that Jets game. The Saints game was also very close and would have been a win if we had got the first down at the end. We also had a shot to beat the 49ers had we stopped Kaepernick on that 3rd and 15 play.As Ronde Barber liked to say, a typical game is decided in 5 plays or less.

I just noticed that Atlanta picks before us in every round except for 5. I thought they reversed the strength of schedule order each round, but nope they just move you up one in the queue. Having a good draft would have been much easier picking at #3 each round.

You always take the wins, the entire concept of football is based on winning games and hopefully making the playoffs/Super Bowl, you don't see teams headed into the year with the goal of getting the #1 pick. You win as many games as is possible and then roll the dice on the remaining prospects available at whatever point in the draft you are picking. It's not like getting a high pick guarantees a great player or that a later pick can't turn into a top talent. Is Sam Bradford even in the top 5 best players from his draft, it's debatable that he might be the worst guy from that draft taken in the top 10 picks but he went #1 overall. How about JaMarcus Russell over Megatron, Joe Thomas, Patrick Willis, AD, Revis?

I know it's a total fan take. Very infrequently will a team get wheeled out that is clearly trying for the top pick (maybe 2011 Colts) or just tanking it and losing over and over inexplicably despite talent on the team (2013 Texans). Didn't help the Colts much huh? It will also be fun to see what Houston does with all it's good picks on a talented team. Clowney with JJ Watt would be sick. They can easily trade back into the 1st for a QB if they want to.

We could've had so much fun about possible trade offers at pick #3 with the recent hype of all the QB's are getting. And Clowney would've fell right in our lap.

but if you can't make the playoffs, the wins are meaningless!
