Can we cut the crap right now and just accept that Winston will be getting a contract from the Bucs? Probability this offseason if not the next? Anyone that thinks otherwise is delusional. Let’s say he missed the rest of his season with the injury. Let’s say he comes back next year and does not “improve” and shows a similar season to his first two (4,000+ yards, 25-30 TDs, and north of 15 INTs). Guess what, the Bucs hand him a 5-6 year deal in the range of $18 mill a year average. It might as well be set in stone barring a catastrophic injury. There are a handful of young talented QBs out there and a handful of top tier guys in their twighliight. Winston has shown enough to at least be a middle of the pack QB with moments of top 10. That gets you a deal in the NFL. Some will be happy, some will be angry, but it will happen all the same.
