@NotDeadYet wondered if there was a comparison between Winston & Fitpatrick's yards after catch.
I couldn't find anything, so what I did was stitch together the gamelog YAC for each receiver with Winston & Fitz. This includes NO+PHI+PIT for Fitz and ATL+CLE for Winston. I did not include Chicago as I didn't want to break down the play-by-play. I don't have anything to compare this to other QBs.
For these stats Fitz has 78 receptions with 410 yards after catch. Winston has 62 receptions 217 yards after catch.
Fitz averages 5.3 YAC.
Winston averages 3.5 YAC.
Fitz averages 4.44 WR; 8.64 TE; 5.0 RB.
Winston averages 3.43 WR; 2.44 TE; 5.89 RB.
Where we see the big difference in YAC is with Howard and Jackson. With both Fitz & Winston Auclair, Brate, and Cross have very minimal YAC - Brate has a total of 7 YAC yards with Fitz and 3 with Winston. But Howard has 114 YAC yards/11 receptions with Fitz and 32 yards/9 rec with Winston. That is, Howard has 82 more YAC yards on 2 more receptions with Fitz.
Jackson has 73 YAC yards on 12 receptions with Fitz and 11 YAC yards/6 receptions with Winston. That is, Jackson has 6x as many YAC yards w/Fitz on 2x receptions.
With the rest of the WRs, Evans has similar YAC average with both QBs (0.5 more w/Fitz). As is normal, Evans YAC is low. Not counting Auclair/Wilson, only Brate (1.43) has a lower total average YAC than Evans (2.82). Godwin also sees a downgrade with Winston, going from 3.77 to 1.91 average YAC. Humphires YAC goes up from 7.57 (Fitz) to 8.71 (Winston).
The RBs see a slightly lower YAC with Fitz than Winston. Main difference is that Winston has 4 receptions apiece to Barber/Jones and most of Fitz's RB receptions (6) go to Rodgers.
tl;dr Fitz's average Yards after Catch is 5.3 to Winston's 3.5. The big difference is Howard and Jackson seeing significantly higher YAC. Godwin sees higher YAC with Fitz. Humphries sees slightly higher YAC with Winston.
The argument could be made that Winston is throwing deeper but with less YAC - that would be wrong. Fitz's average completion was 15.6 yards and he averaged 10.5 yards/attempt (both #1 in NFL). Winston has 11.6 yards/completion (#13) and 8.0 yards/attempt (#8).
