The two were talked about as players set to change the NFL landscape; guys that were going to be cornerstones of not just their teams but of the league for the next decade. They were the “can’t miss” guys – there are a lot less “can’t miss” guys than we care to admit for how much we use that phrase.
Five years later and the book on both Winston and Mariota isn’t one of success, it’s of failure, of question marks, and of wasted time.
