On looking at it further he fumbles the ball before he gets into the endzone (obviously). But the ball does not bounce into the endzone. A cowboy then picks it up and falls INTO the endzone. Absent the penalty what are the rules about that being a safety? Anybody know? If so, we could have got 2 points and the ball back immediately with almost a minute on the clock.Irrelevant considering the result I know, but anyone know what the call would be in that situation?Edit: The rules for a safety are:The ball carrier is tackled in his own end zone.The ball becomes dead in the end zone, with the exception of an incomplete forward pass, and the defending team is responsible for it being there.The offense commits a foul in its own end zone.Rule #1 and #2 seem to be applicable.
