I went back and watched two games, condensed, through NFL game rewind.First game against the Jets and second game against the saints. Two brutal games to watch from a QB play and Penalties standpoint. That being said, go back and watch them if you get a chance. In fact, I challenge anyone to look at the team then and not see a playoff team if the QB (Freeman) and penalties (personal fouls galore) were better. Defense was amazing in both games (except penalties). In the saints game, you could put on tape of the Seahawks and think we were them defensively. Pass rush was Bananas! Must have sacked, hit or hurried Brees at least 20 times. We could have been 2-0 if we held under 2 minutes. Hindsight is 20-20. I am glad we are where we are now, Schiano gone and Lovie in... Freeman wasn't the long term answer. So on and so forth.That being said, be honest, watch the tape... If Lovie can get these boys to gel fast in the new scheme.... WATCH OUT! All we need is a QB who isn't gun shy and a few other pieces here or there...Excited and optimistic 8) ;D
Bad coaching has no doubt held us back. Idk about that much, but it has nonetheless. We could have won at the very least, four games just from better halftime adjustments.Hopefully lovie will fix that.

Right and 7 games gets you nowhere. A few wins are needed to assure you didn't waste your time. But three wins would have been a lot better than four in our current situation.
Unless the leadership was going to play offensive line...our ceiling was maybe 8 wins. If you arent going to win 10, you might as well just win 2.

It's almost unheard of for a team with our turnover ratio to be 4-12. It's only happened a few times that a team with a top ratio was under .500. We were far below that.

With all our injuries, no way we were gonna make the playoffs last season. Obviously by eliminating some bonehead plays, we coulda won a couple more games, but not enough for a playoff run...

Almost every bad team is a playoff team with good QB play. That's nothing specific to the 2013 Bucs.

Giants, Redskins, Saints, Falcons, Eagles games would have been wins. We gave up 389 yards passing per game those weeks. Would have put us 12-4 with tiebreaker over Atlanta.
of course, we almost made playoffs with wannabe coach and freeman on QB, same could have happened with '13 team if we had a real man in charge here instead of that rowdie patriots spy.those were terrible five years, thanks god it is all past now! they still hurt, for me much more than all those culverhouse years of no hope!
For all the moaning about holes on the roster, this team only needs a quality coach and QB to be contenders
