Report: Dolphins OT Jonathan Martin to be traded to highest bidderBy Ryan Wilson | CBSSports.comDecember 11, 2013 4:46 pm ETNeither Incognito nor Martin is expected to be in Miami next season. (USATSI) When the Dolphins' 2014 regular season gets underway next September, neither Richie Incognito nor Jonathan Martin will be on the roster, according to the Miami Herald's Armando Salguero.Incognito, currently suspended for conduct detrimental to the team, is in the final year of his contract with the Dolphins. The suspension stems, in part, from Incognito's alleged role in bullying Martin, who left the club in late October. In addition to Incognito's "days in Miami (being) over," Salguero reports that Martin will "be traded to the highest bidder at some point in the offseason."Although Martin has been painted as a victim in the alleged bullying scandal, teammates didn't hesitate to come to Incognito's defense once the news became public.Back in November, when there was speculation that the Dolphins might release Incognito, MMQB.com's Peter King reported that at least one playoff-contending team that could be interested in Incognito's services for the stretch run.Knowing that, along with the support of his Dolphins' teammates, it's reasonable think Incognito would have little trouble finding work in the offseason.Martin's situation could be trickier, especially if teams view him as soft based on his decision to leave the Dolphins. That said, he's a former second-round pick who has yet to scratch the surface on his ability. In the right situation, he could flourish. And as the old saying goes when it comes to overpaying free agents, it only takes one team.
Incognito----No way, he appears to be a racist redneck.Martin
maybe, if the price wasn't too high.
I wouldn't let Martin within a hundred miles of my team.
Martin - No way in hell, we all just saw what happened when our own (now ex) immature man child threw a tantrum over being benched, Martin has basically done the same thing, his mentally weak.Incognito - His talent level really isn't worth the hassle, from all accounts he's a turd.

Martin is a toxic property now. Nobody can be comfortable around the guy, constantly having to worry about what you might say that could set him off and sue you. Absolute poison to a healthy locker room.
I look forward to the day where the Bucs can take questionable characters on the cheap and turn them into good citizens, i.e. the Pats.
I would take Incognito, because everyone pretty much vouched that he wasn't racist and was a good guy. However, we have Nicks and Joseph, so there isn't a need. I want nothing to do with Martin. He is too sensitive of a person.

like hanesworth and hernandez?
While an argument could be made for one or the other, I think the title's suggestion that both could be on the same team is an impossibility.
If the price were right on Incognito, he would be a huge upgrade over DJ. I honestly feel Martin may be the first player that was "outed" during his playing days. Nothing wrong with being gay in my opinion, but I dont think there is a NFL locker room ready for that situation...yet.Do I have any evidence of this, no. But reading all the quotes of the Miami players, its what I think is the case. It would also explain why the "investigation" is taking so long and being treated with kid gloves.
No to neither is either of these players really better then what we already have? Incognito isn't better then nicks might be better then dj but Meredith he is probably only a slight advantage over. Hes a hothead not worth it imo. Jonathon Martin isn't better then either of our tackles. So he's only a backup pass.
"Incognito isn't better then nicks"A sack of potatoes is better than a player that's not on the field.
Martin sucks. A lot of the reason his teammates aren't backing him is because he's not a good player and it isn't just that. The last guy on the roster isn't a good player but no one lacks respect if he gives it his all and does what he can and prepares right. For teammates not to back you up they don't think Martin is really trying and giving it all he can.
Incognito has at times been a decent player but he's not a young man anymore, has consistently been an idiot his entire life, and plays the most replaceable position in football. Martin stinks.

why some of you are always quick to point out the negative. I know the Pats have had their share of knuckleheads. but i think we can all agree that more often then not the Pats do a great job of turning those guys into good citizens. i think we should take more chances with players that are play makers on the field and need good guidance off. Coach Schiano can definitely try characters around IMO
