Todd Gurley - Georgia6'1'' - 222 lbs - DNP1st RoundWhy the Bucs Should Take Him: My favorite part of Gurley's game is the violent nature he runs with. He's the best RB to come out since Adrian Peterson.Why the Bucs Should Not Take Him: Gurley's coming off a torn ACL. Yes, all indications point to him being fine, but durability is a concern considering the position he plays.2. Melvin Gordon - Wisconsin6'1'' - 215 lbs - 4.521st RoundWhy the Bucs Should Take Him: Most people will point to Gordon's big play ability as his biggest strength. Those people would be right. I'd also point to what he does in the pass game in pass protection and as a receiver out of the backfield as some of his biggest strengths as well.Why the Bucs Should Not Take Him: My biggest concern with Gordon is that he tends to like to bounce many runs to the outside. It's a hard habit to break. Sometimes, the best runs in the NFL are the tough 4 yard runs on 2nd and 8 that make it a manageable 3rd and 4 for the offense to convert.3. Jay Ajayi - Boise State6'0'' - 221 lbs - 4.572nd RoundWhy the Bucs Should Take Him: Ajayi has a great combination of size and athleticism. He's got great potential as a feature back who can carry the load in the NFL.Why the Bucs Should Not Take Him: I think Ajayi tends to dance a little too much. He's got tremendous agility for his size, but he relies on it too often.4. Tevin Coleman - Indiana5'11'' - 206 lbs - 4.392nd/3rd RoundWhy the Bucs Should Take Him: Coleman's a homerun hitter with elite speed. It should also be noted that he is often moving north and south, and not dancing in the backfield. He's probably best fit in a spread offense.Why the Bucs Should Not Take Him: Every run is a sprint for the endzone. I'm not sure he's a good fit as a feature back in a pro-style offense due to his lack of patience and ability to break tackles.5. David Cobb - Minnesota5'11'' - 229 lbs - DNP3rd RoundWhy the Bucs Should Take Him: Here's your true workhorse of the draft. I love the violence Cobb runs with. He's patient and runs with power between the tackles.Why the Bucs Should Not Take Him: Cobb's not a homerun hitter, nor will he wow you in the passing game.6. T.J. Yeldon - Alabama6'1'' - 226 lbs - 4.611st RoundWhy the Bucs Should Take Him: Yeldon's patience is what stands out most to me. I think he could become elite in a zone blocking scheme. I love his vision to find the hole and make the cut into the hole. I see some of Arian Foster in Yeldon.Why the Bucs Should Not Take Him: I'd like to see Yeldon run with more power.7. Ameer Abdullah - Nebraska5'9'' - 205 lbs - 4.603rd RoundWhy the Bucs Should Take Him: He's a big back in a small body. Abdullah is decisive, runs hard, and make plays in the passing game.Why the Bucs Should Not Take Him: Abdullah won't get much bigger than he already is. He's probably limited to being just a compliment back in the NFL. Ball security is another big concern.8. Duke Johnson - Miami5'9'' - 207 lbs - 4.543rd/4th RoundWhy the Bucs Should Take Him: Johnson plays quicker and faster than he times. He's a shifty back with great patience who then hits the hole hard.Why the Bucs Should Not Take Him: I think he'll get swallowed up in runs between the tackles in the NFL. Probably limited to being a compliment back.9. Mike Davis - South Carolina5'9'' - 217 lbs - 4.614th RoundWhy the Bucs Should Take Him: Davis has all the natural talent I want in a back. He's got power and speed with a bowling ball type body. Kind of reminiscent to Maurice Jones-Drew who Bucs offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter had a ton of success with in Jacksonville.Why the Bucs Should Not Take Him: There have been concerns over Davis' work ethic and lack of conditioning. I also don't see an angry runner on film.10. Karlos Williams - FSU6'1'' - 230 lbs - 4.484th/5th RoundWhy the Bucs Should Take Him: Williams is a one-cut downhill violent runner. He's physical between the tackles, but also a factor in the pass game.Why the Bucs Should Not Take Him: There are some character issues with Williams that involve domestic violence, but no charges were filed. Williams also does not run with good pad level. Still raw as a running back.
