I would like to get peoples opinions on this.I personally think it would be a success, but what do you think?
If your goal is for them to make the playoffs and they do it, yes. If your goal is like most fans and win a super bowl, but don't then no.

You have to start somewhere. I want them to win the Super Bowl. But I also understand it takes time to build great teams that can accomplish such a feat.

I agree you have to start somewhere. It just depends what your goal is which determines success or failure.
I definitely would see it as a success, especially based upon the shit we've had to see the past few seasons.

Goals and expectations can be quite different.
would making the playoffs have a better long term affect on the team than another losing season but better draft picks? I would think so. most of these guys only know losing. a winning season would definitely help them buy into Lovie's system and having them confident.

Well I certainly expect them to make the playoffs and the goal is super bowl. That's how it should always be.
The first step to being relevant is being alive after 16 games. I think it would be a successful start to the new regime and would give many players a taste of something they have not experienced yet, sadly
I clicked yes, but it depends how. If we luck in at 8 and 8 I would want to see us win a game to consider it successful. That might be knitpicking.
Yea, but only because we haven't been doing anything for years. My worry is they get to a few, then after a 9 and 7 season, forsake lovie.I'd at least settle for relevant halfway through the season. I guess we've sunk pretty low.
Of course I will. What the hell are 13.3% of Pewter Report thinking? That we're going to go 16-0 and win the Super Bowl?

I agree with this. 9-7 is my answer to the thread title. Whether it makes the playoffs or not I would consider that successful,
1. They fix the offensive line2. They identify the QB for the future3. They fix the defensive line and especially get a real pass rush without all the stunting and having to blitz all the time4. Play hard all season and show improvement as the year goes on and the players get used to the system.5. Figure out which players need to be resigned and which ones need to go6. Make their home stadium a place other teams hate having to play in

I'll take what ever odds you want to give on that scenario.
