While I would also like to get another super bowl, not sure I understand how anything short of that is viewed as a failure by some.
As long as no children are eaten, this season will be a success.
If we beat the lesser teams and 1/4 of the tougher teams than it's a success. Gruden-stumbling into the playoffs and getting blown out is heart breaking. Fighting your way in and losing a tough one makes you feel good about next year.
27-17 is a blowout? Man Gruden haters are relentless. That was to the eventual world champs FYI. Heartbreaking was the 79 and 99 NFC title games or Week 17 in 2000 or the mnf game in 2003. The other hurt but we lost to the best team in football.

Agreed. Even if we don't sign or draft anyone and roll into 2014 with the same exact roster.....we are gonna have a good defense under Lovie Smith. We have the head coach. We have the defense. Do what you have to do to get the QB. Everything else will come.
