Why do none of the draft "experts" think we could use a QB?They are acting like we are loaded at QB or something.
Just spitballin here, but I think they believe its Glennon's job to lose. And pick up a scrub to hold the clipboard. If it doesn't work out, it Famous Jaimus in 2015

Agreed.Whether or not glennon did this or that, the fact remains he's a four win rookie that has now been placed into a new regime. If I thought glennon was the answer, I would be worried that lovie would skip him for "his" guy. Besides that is time to compete with. Money was spent and stars brought in, there is a small window for success if they capitalize it with a good qb. I say now is the time the bucs should make the big move, but a lot of these guys are predicting defense because of the lovie hire or system change.I think it's completely possible lovie drafts a qb in the first.
Mock drafts before the season ends are retarded. It blows my mind that people make mocks in week 1 of the season. Absolutely pointless.
Arguably the best QB in the draft falls into your lap when you need an upgrade at the position, and you pass him up for 2 mid round picks and Mosley...?Thats a good way to kill a regime before it even gets started.

Mock draft before the season end, senior bowl, combine, pro day & free agency are irrelevant...people should wait april to start mock draft!

I don't think anyone knows who Glennon is right now. Not fans, coaches, owners, or media. We will find out who he is next season. The worst case scenario would be, they give up on him now, draft a QB at #7 or higher, and Glennon goes on to flourish with another team. We have been down that road already.

I think the worst case scenario is that we bypass a chance at a franchise qb, are stuck with a few more years of mediocre QBS, don't win any playoff games and the coaching staff gets canned again

I think if Glennon doesn't show anything this season, they will move on. It won't be a Freeman situation.

You might not be drafting this close to the top again for several years. It's a big gamble.

Glennon need one (or two? new scheme) more year...you can take a QB at #7, start Glennon and let the rookie learn on the bench in 2014... only high IQ/NFL ready rookie like Andrew Luck should start from day 1!if Lovie & Tedford think their franchise QB is here at #7, they have to take him... then they can evaluate both QB the next two years... if Glennon is the guy you can trade the rookie in 2015 or 2016, if the rookie is the guy you can trade Glennon in 2016... you can have two good QBs for the next 2-3 years and trade one for some picks!i'll take the Rivers/Brees situation over a new Freeman project!i know Bucs have alot of hole but you cant pass on a QB if you think he is the real deal and dont have a sure Top 10/12 QB on your team!

I hear ya, and I have actually thrown that scenario out there in the past.Trouble is, I don't see any QB in the draft worth that risk. Go with Glennon, if he falters, aim for Winston in 2015. I think the 2015 draft class will be better for QB prospects.
Horrible.

Maybe, but we won 4 games with the team being a complete trainwreck for most of the season. I think Glennon is decent enough with good coaching and a solid defense to have us drafting mid-rounds barring any disasters. Which might not seem so bad but if that's his ceiling then we will be farther away from being in position to draft a top guy. It's hard to pass on a guy that could be a franchise QB and say "next year" when who knows where you'll be picking and who knows what the circumstances could be.
