I wouldn't compare Matt and Mike as QB's, but I do like the comparison of what the QB is to their team. I would throw Dalton in there too, and a younger Schaub. Glennon is a QB that probably won't break passing records, but he's steady, he's smart, he can make big time throws, he has better mobility than a guy of his stature should and he never has that 'deer in headlights' look. He did a good job in a horribly predictable offense with Jackson, Wright and a bunch of guys that would be 4th stringers elsewhere. He deserves another shot, I don't think we've seen the best of Glennon honestly.

That almost made sense. Keep trying. Glennon was the definition of a deer in the headlights in every 4th quarter of all 13 games. The guy repeatedly made ridiculously bad decisions late in games while running from phantom pressure.

That was because of awful o-line play and nobody getting open because our coaching staff refused to make and 2nd half adjustments, by the time the 2nd half arrived the defense knew what we were doing and stopped it. He never looked rattled and he was surprisingly, mobile enough to get away from pressure. I never saw him run away from pressure that wasn't there, but even if he did who can blame him? It's a very fixable problem, just get an offensive line. I don't think he's the franchise QB, but anyone who doesn't see that the best option right now is to keep him in there while we build a strong offensive line and add some weapons so that we can set up our future franchise QB for success is just a moron.

If I'm going to settle st QB it's going to be settling for one ranked in the teens and not one of the bottom 10.

And all of you guys who want to draft a QB would agree that our offensive coordinator had no imagination this season right?

And where do elite QBs come from without proper coaching and talent around them? I'm cool w/ Glennon for next year if necessary. Our defense is going to look so much better. Id take Glennon now over Grossman anytime lol

It;s kind of pointless to argue with some of these guys. There are some who will never give Glennon any kind of credit simply because they don't like him. And there are others who think that Manziel and/or Bortles are guaranteed superstars.

Glennon is at the bottom with some metrics but in the top fifteen in others so it isn't clear cut. To me what I see is that Glennon has to improve the speed at which he processes information if he is to be a QB in this league.  QB's in this upcoming draft either are nimble on their feet, have quick releases or a combination of both.

Doesn't it take time for all those things to happen? I'm not saying Glennon is elite but we can't call him a scrub yet with the coaching, lack of weapons, and playcalling he had last year.

He's closer to chris simms than he is matt ryan. Terrible comparison. No matter if you like glennon or you don't the bucs would be stupid not bring in Competition for him. He is a big question mark going into the season. We have to have a backup plan. Hopefully glennon will be that backup plan and we take a true playmaker in the draft and role with it.

The same Rodgers that sat for four years and got the chance to develop?Or Tony Romo who didn't take off until he was 26?What if we looked at ESPN's QBR? Looks like, as a rookie with limited weapons, Mike (45.6) is in the same area as Joe Flacco (46.7) and Alex Smith (49.4)Andrew Luck is a Franchise guy, right?343  570  60.2%  3,822  6.7  23  9  32  87.0247  416  59.4%  2,608  6.2  19  9  40  83.9God forbid Mike Glennon gets a chance in his 2nd year (biggest jump for players) with real WR (not 3rd and 4th string)
