Rebuild or make a playoff push?
the Philly game showed we aren’t close to being able to compete with the elite teams..
buffalo Philadelphia San Francisco etc
maybe Carlton Davis back and kancey will help but won’t help our historic run rush offense. Nor will Taylor with our o line.
thoughts?
Neither.
Neither
but to the second part, rebuild. This is NOT a team to stretch to get in the playoff.
long term thinking needed
rank it like this
1. Trade for Taylor
2. Remain pat, keep Evans (maybe Taylor can make something out of nothing, but could it be our offensive line can run block?)
3. Stop being a Bucs Fan
4. Trade Evans for mid level picks that turn out the likes of Trask, JTR, Logan Hall, Daerden....
Would you rather: trade Mike Evans or trade for Jonathan Taylor
it's like the concept of a salary cap doesn't exist to Bucs fans. Keep everyone, sign everyone, trade for everyone, re-sign everyone.
Pass on all that. As long as we have our offensive line (sans Wirfs), Kancey stays hurt, and Baker plays mid... we are a team that can win 4-10 games.
That's just the reality. The line has to play better because Baker under pressure was erratic Monday
Oh and our expensive ass corner backs can't stay healthy and when they are they're stuck in zone
You can't trade for Taylor just to make a playoff push. He's not going to play hard if he's just a rental. You have to sign him to a long term deal, which is a bad idea. Sorry Mr. Taylor, but paying big money for a RBs second contract just doesn't make sense.
Overreaction. We lost one game
and have played 3.
chill.

Exactly.
Going into the season, if we knew we’d have a REAL chance at going 3-1 into the bye, we’d be pretty stoked.

yeah atleast Winfield…..(fast forward to Friday questionable tag for no reason at all) 😅
Wr1 are more valuable than RB1 ni this league
Neither.
Why would we give up draft picks (for a RB no less) when we still seemingly need a QB? Also, we are still paying for the moves that helped bring that SB back to Tampa. More than worth, but they have to be smart with their moves and money. Giving up picks for a RB looking for a pay day isn’t smart unless you’re one of the legit contenders that is one additional skill position away from elite. That’s not the case for this team.
Also, our main running woes are on the OL and the really good front 7’s of the teams they’ve faced thus far.
In a perfect world, Mike is a Buc forever, but he’s clearly looking to get as big of a contract as possible. He’s an aging WR (who’s still pretty fucking good) with a SB ring. Can’t blame him tbh.
Revisiting this topic at 3-1 going into the bye I’d gladly give a 2nd or 3rd for Taylor.
especially losing Edmonds.
white can’t do it alone.
tucker>vaughn imho but haven’t seen much from either. Tucker cheaper and more upside though.

Why? Trading for a RB looking for a big deal is foolish. Trading Evans is also foolish. Let this dumpster fire die.
