I'm actually leaning toward no.  Which means I have to admit to myself that it was a good pick and in spite of what my brain is telling me I like the kid.  I can't figure it out.  If you ask me if I think Mike is going to be a top half NFL QB I would say unlikely (or at least not in the near future).  But I don't think I'd trade him right now for a pretty high 3rd.  Maybe if we had a quality veteran on the roster.

No. We have at least a good and cheap backup for a while with him being here.

I know but the 73rd for your backup?  I agree, but I can't make it make sense to me.

Why would we trade the next Peyton Manning?

It all depends on the strategy. If the strategy is to go after a potential franchise QB this year then I say yes. Because we don't have enough picks to make the deal without seriously harming our ability to acquire young talent. If you are comfortable with Glennon at QB and Big O as the backup then of course you stand pat and take Mathews or Watkins or Ebron at no.7. And if the strategy is to keep Glennon I would trade the no.7 pick move back to 15 - 20 and grab the best available guard or tackle to convert to guard possibly. TE is a real issue. Wright is a Graham type guy really and a great find. But we need someone who can also jam up someone at the LOS.Ebron would be another possibility. He has the tools to be great. I would not trade if you want him or Watkins. They are valuable in today's game. How about a 4 wide spread with Ebron and Wright inside and Vj and MW19 outside?  single back success  YES!

Right.Glennon is going to be the next Peyton Manning and anyone who disagrees with you is obviously a moron. Hear you loud and clear but it doesn't change my opinion of Glennon one bit. He was drafted by Dominik to be a backup. Stop putting unreasonable expectations on the kid.

Maybe you didn't learn reading comprehension in school, but you should have. Where did I say he's the next Peyton Manning? "He reminds me of a young Peyton Manning the way he controls the offense." Keywords bolded for you. Maybe you will be able to understand now. Hint no where does that say he is going to be Peyton Manning or anywhere as good as him.

Glennon is a bonafide NFL QB with some limitations but he's a smart guy and will absolutely improve this off-season. I wouldn't trade that type of commodity unless I was ASSURED of something greater in return and the draft cannot assure you of anything (especially outside of the top 5 picks). Having said that, there is definite need to find legitimate competition...sadly, Dan the Man just isn't it.
