The walking personal foul penalty didn't have a great year. I don't know if he is worth the $41 million contract he was signed to. He has a terrible reputation now and the flags will likely continue. With Barron being a mainstay in my opinion, maybe we need a FS with more range who can play the deep middle. I don't know that you need two hitters in the back end in today's NFL.That all being said, he is better than a lot of options out there. We would probably have to draft a replacement. I don't know how I feel about that.Thoughts?
Neither. Just keep him and work on the million other areas that actually need to be fixed. Once that's done then circle back and address it then. D is actually doing pretty good right now while the O is the worst in the league at yard per game.
Uh doing either doesn't save us any money. So he will be kept.

When I first saw this I said are you kidding me?...I say Neither. We already got rid of Legarret Blount and Aquib Talib...to New England need I say more?...OBD

If Schiano was here then they'd trade Goldson to the Pat's.
I wouldn't release him but I'd listen to trade offers. This team has a lot of work to do in the draft. And Goldson was not a part of the solution, he was a part of the problem. Now that Schiano and his "I don't mind 15 yard personal fouls" mentality are gone we don't need him. The Niners don't miss him a bit and neither will we.

Seconded.If we can nab a 2nd rounder, I wouldn't look back.
With Nicks future being in jeopardy and the potential of $7mil in dead money on him, the Bucs would be hard pressed to eat another roughly $18mil as a cap hit for Goldson. So the short and probably only answer is no.
not a chance in hell. Keith Tandy starting at safety is how you end up having Drew Brees rack up 300 yards and 4 TDs in the first half.
With his entire salary for this year being guaranteed and ($3 million of next years) the net gain would be zero on the cap if we released him so what would be the point?
I feel bad for the opposing receivers next year. Once Goldson starts going low, there are going to be some serious careers in jeopardy.
Neither...the hate against Goldson is strong because of his personal foul history but I think he'll adjust plus the league will have to institute a happy medium regarding player safety and this year's flying hanky policy every time someone sneezed.
Trade. My start Tandy over Goldson thread explains how I feel. He was a huge liability in coverage and his strength very often hurt us. We need true cover safeties
Tandy? Tandy? Was it just me or was Tandy that I saw getting constantly smoked in coverage last Sunday. Tandy is a backup, plain and simple.I say you have to give Goldson another year. He might get his act together and flourish with new coaching/system. I don't understand why we would pay him all of that money to play for somebody else.
