NFL Rumors: Tampa Bay Buccaneers to trade up for Jadeveon Clowney? By Josh Hill Feb 15th, 2014 at 11:30 am Nov 23, 2013; Columbia, SC South Carolina Gamecocks defensive end Jadeveon Clowney (7) sits out the game against Coastal Carolina with an injury during the second half at Williams-Brice Stadium. Jeff Blake-USA TODAY The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have begun cleansing themselves of the Greg Schiano era, as new head coach Lovie Smith has come in and begun to immediately change the culture. But changing the culture can only take a team so far, as the Bucs need a little more talent before they can be Super Bowl contenders once again. One way to get good now is to draft well, and this has some thinking that the Buccaneers have set their sights on defensive end Jadeveon Clowney from South Carolina. ESPN.com blogger Pat Yasinskas addressed this possibility of the Bucs trading up to get a top pass rusher they desperately need on their defensive front. Per Yasinskas: That sounds like a nice idea because Clowney is the best pass-rusher in the draft and the Bucs desperately need to improve their pass rush. But a trade up to the No. 1 spot, which is where the Bucs would have to get to in order to make sure they get Clowney, would be very costly. He goes on to say that the Bucs will likely try to build through the draft, much like previous general manager Mark Dominik did with great success. Adding Clowney is an appealing idea though, as imagining him on the same defensive line as Gerald McCoy is a frightening thought for offensive coordinators around the league. Still, while the Bucs swinging for the fences and trading up in the draft is a possibility, they’ll more than likely stay put or even trade down to continue stock piling young talent on both sides of the ball. http://fansided.com/2014/02/15/nfl-rumors-tampa-bay-buccaneers-trade-up-draft-jadeveon-clowney/?utm_source=FanSided&utm_medium=Network&utm_campaign=Trending%20on%20FS#!v4ee5
basically this says its a great idea to trade up for Clowney, and its a possibility. its also a possibility we stay where we are and/ or trade down to aquire draft pickswhat a fucking stupid article
If we trade up to #1, it needs to be for a QB. I could see us possibly trading up to#5 or so if Clowney slips. Just to keep him away from Atlanta.
If they LOVE Glennon then please trade up for Clowney.

The author only make like $30-50 an article so he needs to post lots of crap to pay the bills. Give him a break. :p
Isn't it basically ALL subjective analysis regarding the drama of the draft? As far as trading up, only if TPIR.
Just stay put and see what shakes out.

^This. The only thing worse than picking a guy with red flags is looking back from 3 years down the road and remembering you gave up additional picks to get that guy.

*cough RGMe cough*
No
No way. We are already short picks this year and Clowney has too many question marks. If he falls to us then great, but we have no business giving up more picks when we are assured someone good will be available at 7.
