NFL Draft Rumors: Tampa Bay Buccaneers could trade up for Sammy WatkinsBy Jack Jorgensen - Apr 4th, 2014 at 9:41 pm Jan 3, 2014; Miami Gardens, FLClemson Tigers wide receiver Sammy Watkins (2) reacts after scoring a touchdown against the Ohio State Buckeyes in the first half of the 2014 Orange Bowl college football game at Sun Life Stadium. Robert Mayer-USA TODAY SportsThe Tampa Bay Buccaneers have made some serious moves in the offseason. They hired a new coach in Lovie Smith, grabbed a new quarterback in free-agent Josh McCown, and beefed up the defense with the signing of Michael Johnson. But, they might not be done yet as they might be set to make a big move in the NFL Draft next month by trading up for the most prolific receiver, Sammy Watkins. According to NFL.com, analysts Charles Davis and Daniel Jeremiah believe that the lure of trading up to the second spot with the St. Louis Rams to get Watkins is too good to pass up on, instead of waiting for Texas A&M’s Mike Evans. Just because there’s a reasonable chance Evans will be there when the team picks at seven doesn’t mean they shouldn’t make a bold move. Both Davis and Jeremiah believe the Bucs could like Watkins enough to pick up the phone and call the Rams to discuss a trade for the second overall pick. With the team just getting rid of Mike Williams, they need someone to line up opposite Vincent Jackson, and for McCown to throw the ball to, and this might be the best option the Bucs have in the first round. http://fansided.com/2014/04/04/nfl-draft-rumors-tampa-bay-buccaneers-trade-sammy-watkins/?utm_source=FanSided&utm_medium=Network&utm_campaign=Trending%20on%20FS#!CO7jL
