Based on draft tendencies, via a relative small sample size - GM Jason Licht has drafted players, during his three-year tenure, in the first round who have been early entries, 20-years of age or a player who just turned 21 and have shown a high level of collegiate production - with a great love of the game. It's a possibility that, Smith-Schuster is in consideration at 19 along with S Budda Baker, DE/DT Malik McDowell and TE David Njoku - by chance if all four are still on the board at 19 - the prudent course of action is if Licht can find a willing trade partner and trade down to the 24-26 range - securing an additional second or high third rounder in the process

WR JuJu Smith-Schuster - is cut from a different cloth from former USC Trojan receivers - playing through a broken hand in 2015 and various injuries in 2016 - derailed some of his production - he's a physical tone-setter that is a tenacious blocker - displays run-after-the-catch ability - is a cerebral and polished route runner - started and produced early as a 17-year old true freshman. Due to injuries, his production took a dip this past season - recorded 12 100-yard games, in his career - caught a pass in every game he played in. He has reliable hands - use his frame to his advantage and can run through arm tackles. Display a good release from the line - excellent footwork - body control - does a good job of stemming his routes. The biggest knock on Smith-Schuster is that he does not have Olympic athlete type speed - yet he is a cross between Jerry Rice and Brandon Marshall.
