something about Bridgewater just doesn't sit well with me.
He is a bit on the skinny side, and after doing a ton of interviews at the Combine, some have come to the conclusion, he is not exactly Albert Einstein.
uhhh, link please...because I've never seen anyone question his intelligence
there's a rumor that he was quiet in interviews. Which, by definition of rumors, turns him into stupid despite him being the only prospect of the big 3 to perform pre snap reads and call plays at the line.
I don't know how you can watch Bridgewater play, watch Bortles play, and walk away thinking that Bortles is better. I'd like Bortles at 7, but not if Bridgewater is still on the board. But he most likely won't be. Houston and Oakland might pass on a QB, but no way do both Cleveland and Jacksonville. There would be riots in the streets in both cities.
Teddy may have played better than Bortles up to now. But its Bortles upside that is intriguing. IMO
his upside? to do what? run around better?
No. Bortles has an inch or 2 on Teddy, and about 50 pounds too. And some think he could grow into something special down the road.
so 2 inches = more potential?
No, not at all. Its just another part of the assessment.

Teddy Bridgewater did not impress during the interview portion of the NFL Combine, which is perhaps one of the most surprising rumors people are hearing around the NFL, given his reputation for extremely smart play and experience in a “pro-style” offense. Comparisons are floating around to Geno Smith (who also struggled in the interviews), which makes sense because a number of insiders are blaming Bridgewater’s agent for poor preparation. Bridgewater chose the highest bidder when it came to his agent.
Nothing in that paragraph questions his intelligence as you did...good spin job
I smell a Goldson-like, "Teddy Bridgewater Red Flags" thread in the near future.

...You just said he had more potential, I asked why and you said two inches
We'd pass on Bridgewater to take Bortles?I don't think so...
I'd be so pissed....
I don't see how you couldn't be. Dude is gonna be a beast.
there's a rumor that he was quiet in interviews.
It doesn't exactly scream for him being a good leader.

My thoughts as well.

Ya, I should of said he was a poor interview. And you can read into that, whatever you want to.
there's a rumor that he was quiet in interviews.
It doesn't exactly scream for him being a good leader.
Leadership never seemed to be a question before these "rumors" started from the combine. How do we know these things weren't said by a team that will say anything with the hopes that Bridgewater will slip. How do we know that an NFL teams reps even said this at all?

thats a reasonable question to raise. I'm sure teams will question his college coaches and teammates like Calvin Pryor to get the answer

Ya, maybe so. If he is not on IR after week 1.

My thoughts exactly.

Well, that is my point. He had the opportunity to display leadership qualities and decided to clam up. Now they will just get his college coaches opinions?

Because it was multiple teams sayin the same thing.
