We'd pass on Bridgewater to take Bortles?I don't think so...
I'd be so pissed....
I don't see how you couldn't be. Dude is gonna be a beast.
Ya, maybe so. If he is not on IR after week 1.
Really?
Plenty of evidence he is a leader out there.Rumor is a rumor.
there's a rumor that he was quiet in interviews.
It doesn't exactly scream for him being a good leader.
What does the ability to BS through an interview have to do with leading on a football field?

I think you are confusing him with Manziel, whose style of play puts him in much more danger of getting injured than Bridgewater's does. Speculation was that he was going to be under 200 and he showed up at 214, and will probably continue to add muscle. This "he is going to get injured because he is skinny" doesn't really fly. He is going to be a pocket passer. You can compare him to Russell Wilson in size when he first came into the league. Wilson weighed 206 at 5'11..which puts him at 2.90lbs per inch. Bridgewater weighs 214 at 6'1 which puts him at 2.89lbs per inch. Not buying the injury thing with Bridgewater.

thats a reasonable question to raise. I'm sure teams will question his college coaches and teammates like Calvin Pryor to get the answer
Well, that is my point. He had the opportunity to display leadership qualities and decided to clam up. Now they will just get his college coaches opinions?
Again, valid point. But he could also just be bad at interviews, or could just be an introvert. What I do know is that he was the leader of the Cardinal offense and his coach trusted him to make changes at the LoS .

Leadership never seemed to be a question before these "rumors" started from the combine. How do we know these things weren't said by a team that will say anything with the hopes that Bridgewater will slip. How do we know that an NFL teams reps even said this at all?
Because it was multiple teams sayin the same thing.
Which teams?

Fair points. But its just the fact, we had one of those quiet leaders here already, it it didn't turn out so well. That is why when I hear things like quiet leader, my radar goes up.

I feel that way about both of them TBH.

Can't name names, but it was 7-8 teams total. I agree with you, if it was 1 team, it could easily be put in the smokescreen folder.

Understandable, but I don't think it was josh's quietness that under minded his leadership cred. I think it had more to do with him missing meetings, not putting in extra work, sup par game performances. Derrick Brooks is one of the greatest leaders we've had, yet he was quiet.

How many games has Russell Wilson missed due to IR?
Hell, for all we know the bucs started it as a rumor so they could get a shot at TB.
Because it was multiple teams sayin the same thing.

You can get away with that, when you have #99 out there with you.

He is solid. Different build.
