If they don't change the rules, he's not worth what he's getting paid. Not his fault because that's his game, but at this point he's only worth about 1/2 of what they're paying him.

Amen? What? You're serious?He has 7, yes I said 7, 15 yard personal fouls for unnecessary roughness or hitting of a defenseless receiver. By far the most in the league. Yeah, it's the rules that are the problem, not the guy who continues to break them. But in his defense he makes up for those penalties by being the literally one of the worst 5 safeties in the league as per PFF. That's out of almost 85 qualified safeties.I'll take my frustration out on a guy who continues to not learn from his mistakes that continue to hurt a team that has to play a perfect game to win. I'm of the opinion we're better off with Tandy until we can find someone better.

Have you seen him do something that suggests he's far better than PFF ranks him? He shows up about once a week with a big penalty. Beyond that he's made very few game changing plays considering how many snaps he has.

Except plenty of other DBS do not have the number of flags he has. This is not about the NFL this is about a player who cannot play within the rules and most other players don't seem to have as big a problem. This is no different than a DB that can't avoid contact down field or a OT who can't keep his hands inside the jersey. There are rules, play within them.
OK I have 2 points about this article I would like to make.1- I don't get how he can bash the play of a rookie QB when in the very same article he talks about all the sacks the Rams got, how awful our oline is, and about how VJax is our only option. I'm not saying Glennon is the next big name, but with what he has to work with how can you properly evaluate him?2- Goldson has made some boneheaded plays no doubt, but he has also gotten flagged for stuff other guys get away with regularly. I'm all for rules to eliminate obvious spearings and such, but when a defender squares up to make a tackle and the ballcarrier leans into them I don't see how you can penalize the defender. If you aim for a guy's torso and he leans forward guess what you're gonna hit? About the only option defenders have is to arm tackle, but then they are opening themselves up for injury.

While the other players sucking do make it a little more difficult to evaluate Glennon, there are still evaluations that can be made. Yeah, the OL sucked and gave up a lot of pressure, but there were times where Glennon could have found his hot route (which is another eval that can be made - how he read and reacted to blitzes) or simply thrown the ball away.
I want to see what another offseason at safety can do for Tandy. He may never go to a Pro Bowl, but I'd like to see how he can develop. I think it's obvious by now that Goldson wasn't a good use of money. He will be around next season, but if he keeps up his mediocre play, then I see him gone as long as the cap penalty won't be much.
Gotta adapt. The game changes all the time. You adapt or get sent packing. I like the player, but he should realize by now, he has to make some changes in his game. He should of figured that out long ago. Its the last game of the season coming up. and he is still lighting players up and getting huge fines.

I've said it in the past and I will say it again. Hawk should just start blowing peoples knees out. That is what is going to start happening around the league.Thing is, not many players would ever like to harm other players like that but this must be what the league wants.
