It was not a perfect game for our young secondary by any means. But I thought they showed flashes of the potential they all have as a group. Justin Evans is looking great. He seems much improved from last season. Whitehead looks like he could be a starter really soon. Kid really impressed me, and it was fun to watch him and Evans work together. Ryan Smith played probably the best game of his career. He also was a beast of a gunner on kick coverage. I thought Carlton Davis rebounded nicely from last weeks game. MJ Stewart has been solid through two games. In the long run losing Grimes can possibly be a blessing in disguise. By years end these youngsters can gain a lot of experience, and confidence, and hopefully they continue to gel as a young unit. A year or two down the road, our secondary might actually be a team strength, IMO. Go Bucs! 2-0!
