Cut:
Baker
Sweezy
Martin
Sign:
1) Assuming he is cut...DE Michael Bennett for a 2 years at 8.5millionish per.
2) Guard Anderw Norwell for somewhere around 8 million per w/ guaranteed (right around 13th in league for a young player who has played well for multiple years).
not 3) I would love to sign CB Kyle Fuller to a long term deal, but I feel like he may have just made himself too much money this year (mid 1st round pick going into 2nd contract with a very solid contract year). I feel like someone is going to pay him 12.5 to 13 million and I don't feel terribly comfortable with that. So lets go with...
real 3) CB Brent Grimes @ 1 year contract for 7.75 million. I think its going to take a 1 mil pay raise to get him to not retire. We could pay that 1 year fee no problem.
4) Safety Tyvon Branche - somewhere in the neighborhood of 5 million per for 2 years for a vet Safety who played at a very high level last year.
5) RB Dion Lewis @ 2 year contract around 4.75 - 5 million per.
6) DT Clinton McDonald to 2 years @ 3.25 millionish per.
7) Guard Kevin Pamphile to a very cap-friendly depth/swing deal
Draft:
DE Chubb - yeah...unless Colts go Nelson or OT and we get a ridiculous run of QBs (and maybe a trade-up for one), this isn't happening. But Ideal...
G/C Price
On Running Back - Honestly, I don't know if I see any truly "special" running backs in this crop. The very first thing I look for in a Running Back are the three freakish traits you see in Kamara; Balance through contact, tackle breaking, vision. Most running backs have adequate acceleration and lateral agility. But the great ones have those first three. I'm not sure I see that in anyone (certainly not in the mid-rounders). If we can't pick up Dion Lewis (who I feel more comfortable with as a pass protector, receiver, and ability to take what is there), then draft BPA if you can get value in the 3rd or 4th.
On Cornerback - I'd rather our 3rd round pick be here.
Late round picks - Special Teams grinders with high IQ/assignment soundness so no crappy OT projects. LBs and DBs please.
