Play the tough teams on the road. Fine by me. Maybe you lose those or maybe you steal a game, but then you are favored for most of the other games. That's how you get to 11-6 which is the minimum number of wins they should get this year. Win the division with some momentum and good health going into the playoffs. That's what we hope for.
As long as the bye is not early the Bucs should be good.

Good challenges like that can be great prep for playoffs where we likely have to play at least a game on the road. High expectations for this team this year.
one rumor monger
Bucs will open agains Atlanta birdcage on Sunday, Sept. 7.
Week 2 in Houston on Monday Night Football.
Week 3, per the New York Post, is the Jets at the Bucs.
Pat Donovan of WDAE-AM 620 reported he heard the Bucs will play the Rams in Los Angeles on Thanksgiving night. But Pat got bad info. It happens. Turns out it will be Sunday, Nov. 23, per various reports.
A credible report out of Philly from longtime reporter Zach Berman has the Eagles coming to Tampa in Week 4."
I’m guessing:
- 4 Prime Time Games
- Week 8 bye
- A stretch that includes:
- Eagles
- @Seahawks
- 49ers
- @Lions (PT)….followed by bye
3 of 4 primetime games on the road
Schedule looks pretty well balanced. The hard games aren't stacked together and the bye is in Week 9. The only odd thing about it is four division games backloaded into the last five weeks including the Panthers twice in the last three weeks.
Tough start, but finishes pretty nice.
Record at the bye?
Record at the bye?
Falcons have what should be a tough run early on. After us they go
at Vikings
at Carolina
Commanders
Bills
at 49ers
4-4 headed into the bye.
Hoping for 5-3.
Anything better, and we’re looking at a special season.
