READ-OPTION: DID HARGREAVES DO ENOUGH?
After reading the stats and watching some of the film, now it’s your turn to voice your opinion of how you think Hargreaves’ rookie year went.

Hargreaves’ most consistent limitations will never go away. He’s never going to be 6-foot-1, or physical enough – both in mindset and in play performance – to bully some of these bigger, 6-foot-3 wide receivers. He’s always going to give up height and reach advantages, and until his awareness and anticipation is at an All-Pro level, he’s going to have trouble defending at the goal line.
On the other hand, Hargreaves’ athletic ability can’t be taught. His footwork, hips and recovery speed are elite. When confident, he’s smooth in his movements and he can explode of his first step in the blink of an eye to close gabs and wrap up tackles.
And as a bonus, though he may lose physicality battles in coverage, he’s fantastic as a run supporter.
Yeah, about the whole run support thing. This kid's good at it. Hargreaves splits both WR blockers and makes the TFL. pic.twitter.com/I3DmKKvrhU

When he’s knowledgable on the situation, his instincts and athleticism are good enough to play a long time in this league.
But my question to you is that, one year in, are you happy with the investment that was made in Hargreaves at the draft position it was made (11th overall) at knowing the type of player he is, both in potential and in limitations? Is Hargreaves a player you want to see the Buccaneers develop into their full-time outside cornerback, or do you think he’s better suited to develop as a slot player?
My read-option question to you is this: Are you happy so far with Vernon Hargreaves?
