Read-Option: Pick Your Idol

This week’s read-option question is a little more broad than it usually is. I can’t just ask you all what you’d like to see more of in the red zone because I think the answer to that is: whatever works best.

So instead I’m going to ask you all which offense you would like to see this Buccaneers team emulate in 2018.

Think of the pieces the Bucs have; those can’t change. Jameis Winston is their quarterback. You need to think of what he does well and what he’s capable of as the player he is. Think of the receiving weapons of Mike Evans and DeSean Jackson, plus the tight end usage with Cameron Brate and O.J. Howard. Which players would you like them to emphasize the most?

Was there an offense that you watched in 2017 and thought, “Why can’t the Bucs do it like that?”

If so, what was the team, what was their focus, and do you think it can be done under Dirk Koetter and this offensive roster?
