Pewter Report debuted a new season-long weekend feature this season called Fifth Down, that will showcase some of the Bucs’ players each week as the season goes along to reveal what they are like off of the football field. This week’s featured player is punter Bryan Anger.

Anger was signed in free agency last March after spending four seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars who drafted him in the third round of the 2012 draft. Anger, who earned the nickname, Banger by his Jaguar teammates has a career 46.8 yard average and has placed 134 punts inside the 20 in his four-plus NFL seasons.

Anger was born and raised in Camarillo, CA and played his college football for California.

Q1. If you are sentenced to death row, and the warden asks you what your final meal is, what are you eating?

A. “Probably my Mom’s taquitos, she makes some good taquitos. Then my Dad’s asada tacos. There are a lot of good meat markets in Camarillo where I am from so I would have a good Mexican feast. Something chocolate and peanut butter for dessert. A chocolate and peanut butter pie or something like that.”

Q2. You are sitting around on a weekend with nothing to do and none of your friends will find out, what is your guilty pleasure television show?

A. “I watch a lot of nature stuff but I am not ashamed of that. No Kardashian stuff, no Real Housewives, that’s not allowed in my house. I actually was really bored recently and watch 27 Dresses, maybe two weeks ago. I got like a third of the way through, and then I was too deep. I committed to it.”

Q3. If you weren’t playing professional football, what profession would you be doing?

A. “Fishing. Just going out and having fun. I fished a couple tournaments back in Jacksonville, wahoo fishing. So fishing, or diving or spear fishing. Something outdoors.”

Q4. If you could date anyone, who would be your biggest celebrity dream date?

A. “It would have to be Jessica Alba. My friends always joke I like cafe con leche, so she has a bit of ethnicity to her, she is brunette. So yeah, Jessica Alba.”

Q5. You are driving cross country and you can only listen to one artist, who is it going to be?

A. “That is tough one, so probably Eric Church. I like a little bit of every kind of music, but his music is pretty rock. I have seen him a few times and you can tell at his shows, they aren’t just pop shows, he stay really true to his colors.”
