Latest Bucs Headlines

The final injury report for the Bucs and Jets has dropped in lieu of their Week 17 matchup. Tampa Bay is dealing with a plethora of significant injury losses, while the Jets are missing a host of starters. Here are the final injury designations for Sunday’s contest.

Bucs Injury Report

OLB Jason Pierre-Paul (shoulder) – OUT
OLB Shaq Barrett (knee) – OUT
CB Richard Sherman (achilles) – DOUBTFUL
WR Mike Evans (hamstring) – QUESTIONABLE
WR Antonio Brown (ankle) – QUESTIONABLE
S Antoine Winfield Jr. (foot) – QUESTIONABLE
WR Justin Watson (quad) – QUESTIONABLE

No big deal, just the Bucs possibly down all three top wide receivers for Sunday. Mike Evans was a limited participant in Friday’s practice. Interim head coach Harold Goodwin said he was “hopeful” Evans could play. We’ll see. Brown did not participate in practice on Thursday or Friday after being limited on Wednesday. That’s not a great sign that he’ll play against the Jets.

If it were the playoffs, would Evans and Brown be out there? I believe they would be. I think the Bucs are being extra cautious with some of their injuries right now. But even their depth wide receivers are banged up, with Justin Watson joining the injury report on Friday.

On defense, the Bucs will play without Shaq Barrett and Jason Pierre-Paul in Week 17. Joe Tryon-Shoyinka and Anthony Nelson will start in their place. If Winfield can’t play at safety, Mike Edwards will start for the second straight week.

COVID LIST

CB Jamel Dean
CB Sean Murphy-Bunting
P Bradley Pinion
WR Jaelon Darden

Jets Injury Report

WR Jamison Crowder (calf) – DOUBTFUL

The Jets only have one player with an injury designation for Sunday. But that’s largely because much of their starting lineup is already on injured reserve or the COVID list. Six New York starters are already on IR. Another six are on the COVID list. If Crowder doesn’t play on Sunday, he’ll join Elijah Moore and Corey Davis as Jets starting wideouts out of the lineup.

RB Tevin Coleman
LB Jarrad Davis
WR Elijah Moore (IR)
TE Ryan Griffin (IR)
DT Quinnen Williams
