The return back to Tampa Bay didn’t last long for Kwon Alexander.
With a just about a minute left in the first quarter of the Bucs game against the 49ers, Alexander was ejected from the game for lowering his helmet on a sliding Jameis Winston and hitting him in the head. The hit also cost San Francisco 15-yards on the penalty.
Winston was attempting to run for a first down and as he was close to the ground, Alexander drilled him right in the helmet, causing gasps from the crowd. Bucs offensive guard Ali Marpet was seen having some words with Alexander after the play.
Alexander previously played four seasons for the Bucs and was drafted by Tampa Bay in 2015. He signed with the 49ers in this offseason.
Yikes…
Niners linebacker Kwon Alexander went head hunter after Jameis Winston as he was sliding after a nice run. Big penalty for San Francisco coming
