Although he was only in Tampa Bay for one season and rarely played, veteran running back LeSean McCoy was a witness to the Bucs’ Super Bowl LV run in 2020. McCoy, who had played against Tom Brady for years in the AFC East as a member of the Buffalo Bills from 2015-18, saw Brady lead the Bucs to a Super Bowl championship in his first year in Tampa Bay.

As a guest on NFL Network’s Good Morning Football on Monday, McCoy, who is now retired, thinks the Bucs have what it takes to repeat as champions – namely Brady.
“I think the Bucs go again,” McCoy said. “They’re going again, man. The remaining schedule is kind of cupcake, right? They’ve got the Bills left and they’ve got the Saints. I learned that when you go to the playoffs … Brady – you know how Brady plays in November and December. It’s no secret, right?
“The same thing after the bye week last year, the same thing this year. I expect the Bucs to go on another run and make some noise and get another bling.”

McCoy would know about the difficulty in repeating as Super Bowl champions. He was a member of the Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs in 2019 before joining Tampa Bay in 2020. McCoy was a part of the Bucs team that stopped the Chiefs from winning back-to-back championships last February in a 31-9 romp at Raymond James Stadium.
