Each week, Matera will make his Bucs picks on Underdog Fantasy and share them with those that want to get in on the action as well. He’ll give his analysis and reasoning for each pick and what selections to make.

While we focus on player props, we also look at the spread and the over/under for the Bucs game. Matera points you in the right direction for whether the Bucs will cover the spread and if enough points will be scored. We also make picks for the rest of the NFL too!

Last week Matera began the season by going 5-2 on his NFL picks, including 2-0 on the Bucs’ spread and O/U, plus 2-1on player prop bets! He goes quarterback heavy for Week 2 and ends up making picks on nine games!

Bucs Qb Baker Mayfield

In Week 2 we’re going quarterback heavy with Baker Mayfield of the Bucs and Justin Fields of the Bears. I expect this game to be a blowout win for the Bucs in their opener, so that means Mayfield is going to play a big part in putting points on the board. Although Tampa Bay’s defense may get the better of Chicago, there’s going to be garbage time opportunities for Fields to get those passing yards up.

I look at the spread, too, which has the Bucs as a -3 point favorite and a pretty low over/under at 40.5 points. Can both teams combine to reach that number or will it be a top level defensive performance that tells this story?

After a great start with a 5-2 record on the NFL, I have nine picks that I feel good about for these slate games on Sunday and two of the Monday Night Football games in primetime!
