No. 30 Minnesota Vikings (13-3)
The Pick: Da’Ron Payne, DT, Alabama
The Minnesota Vikings were so close to becoming the first team in NFL history to have what would have been a home game in their own stadium. But, unfortunately for them that dream fell one game short as they lost in the NFC Championship to the eventual Super Bowl Champions.
All that said, this is obviously a very good Vikings team, and was the No. 1 defense in the NFL in some categories. With defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd’s NFL career now rocky at best due to knee injuries, the Vikings won’t want to have a drop in interior pressure and production. Thankfully for them this draft is deep in that area, and Payne can step in right away.
