No. 31 New England Patriots (13-3)
The Pick: Isaiah Oliver, CB, Colorado
After watching the Patriots defense get torched for 60 straight minutes by Nick Foles in the Super Bowl, this team could stand to go after some free agent corner backs. Someone like Malcolm Butler perhaps.
Too soon?
With Butler all but gone, the Pats clearly need help in the secondary. Oliver had a nice final season for the Buffs and really helped his draft stock. He has ideal length as a corner back at 6-foot-1, and I think that’s something that will draw the Pats’ interest. It’s either a defensive back or some kind of front four player here for New England.
